I dare you to view this and not smile or laugh. If you can, congrats. You are officially a double bastard with cheese. Simple things like this make me happy. Looking at silly pictures of kittehs (this is how the lolcats spell things), having a beer, eating a burger, reading my tech blogs, listening to music (thank you Pandora), talking with friends, watching movies, sleeping in, eating ice cream, etc. If I can do all these things in one day, I consider myself truly blessed. These things are so wonderful that people don't even contemplate how awesome they are, they just do them.

It's sad that we forget about the splendor of everyday life. Forget that crap that life is short. Life is long, finite, but long. When you're a child, a single day seems to last forever, but as an adult it lasts about as long as the work day b/c the the work day is all we seem to see. In our necessity to strive to the next goal or see the big picture because in a flash it could all be over, we seem to forget that a flash is only as long as we want it to be. In that flash, a small extra sprinkle of cinnamon could land on the french toast. That small bit of flavor could take a normal breakfast from good to perfect. That taste could improve your mood to the point that a little stress is relieved so that a heart attack does not occur or a person does not sever the ties to a lifelong friendship or marriage. Every large moment is made up of small moments that are only subjectively small in their scope and timeframe but are quite important because without one of the so called small moments, the rest of the moments could not come together.

Just take notice of the small things or rather the things that you usually do not notice. The so called big picture is not going anywhere. The beautiful thing about life is that it is a endless revolution created by movement that start and stop, an endless amount of ending that create infinity. People still gonna want more out of life. I just suggest people take stock of what they already have even if it is just a picture of a cat smiling.
